What? For factoring? Got to do what you got to do. When fuel hit near $5 a gallon and credit started getting real shaky out here, Apex kept the wheels turning.

And, being a one man show, it made my life much easier in regards to billing and credit checks. I was out here for months at a time chasing freight around the country till it dried up.

But I did manage to pay this bad boy off while doing it, the trailer was already paid for.

Trying real hard, but it has not been easy. I parked my authority after 3 months of essentially nothing freight wise. I went over to Jones Motors and did fantastic for 3 weeks, and the bottom fell out over there. Sat for another month, a roundtripper once a week, and was getting nowhere fast. Got the bright idea to lease the truck on with Schneider, and that is not working out at all. Plenty of freight, decent rates, but delivery windows are non negotiable in most cases. Spending to much time waiting to deliver and pick up loads. Allot of wasted time.

So, going back to the old expedite with another outfit. Start this week with my flat. I have friends over there, we kinda do that lately. Go check out one company or the other and report back to one another. But, they are making money, I am spinning my wheels. But, I had to try.

Load board? Scary ain't it. I used them towards the end to see where the freight densities looked the best to keep the rates up. At the end, even areas I normally could get $3+ a mile were down towards $1.

That is about the time I jumped to Jones.
