Freight Claim Letters

    I do not mind paying the claim as long as it is justified. But I am just appalled at how they figured the bin that was double stacked spilled during transit. And I do not why this broker is not providing the letter from the claimant.

    I believe we include a copy of the commercial invoice from the customer and have them fill out and our claims form, we send both to the carrier when filing a claim. I'm not a claims specialist, so bare with me, but I believe the broker/customer is obligated to provide a commercial invoice or some other proof to establish value in a claim.
