The freight levels are more impacted by everyone freezing thier stock in January pending doing inventory for tax purposes.

    Injun Thanks this.

I was bout to say i dont see no freight crunch yet--they been running me like i got endless days. It took me 2 days to do 500 mile run due to no hours. LOL :biggrin_2559:

I wrote the original post for this in January. I was sitting in Sacramento for a few days waiting for some freight.

The purpose for bringing it up again is to give a heads up to people who may not be prepared for it or understand cyclic ebbs in freight. These cycles can easily break a business that is not prepared for them. We have new lease operators who haven't been driving long enough to have experienced seasonal ebbs. I don't want to see anyone fail for not knowing ahead of time. Now that those on this forum know, it is up to them to take control of their businesses now. Putting 10cpm away between now and January will place a little over $1,000 in the maintenance reserve if you run through the holidays. This will be enough for maybe two weeks of fixed payments, but it's better than nothing.

oc83baker, inkeper and DenaliDad Thank this.
