    Cost of Living Comparison:
Raleigh, North Carolina - Ontario, California

    Change cities

A salary of $45,000 in Raleigh, North Carolina should increase to $57,000 in Ontario, California

    RaleighU.S. Avg.Ontario
Cost of Living Indexes Raleigh Ontario
    Overall 100.5 127.3
    Food 101 110.8
    Housing 105.5 171.4
    Utilities 106.4 103.9
    Transportation 97.7 112.8
    Health 99.6 103.1
    Miscellaneous 94.6 101.2
    100=national average
Ontario is 27%more expensive than Raleigh.

Housingis the biggest factor in the cost of living difference.

You are not an actor. You wouldn't live in Los Angeles.

Nope , but I was comparing my numbers ( what I was making a year in 2011)....why change the parameters....we were comparing where I live to where you said to start with.....LA.....LOL....that's what folks do when they can't win , they change the argument...No big deal though . I'm not gonna try and hijack this thread arguing with you , enjoy your day , be safe....

Don't be so sure about that this time around. In my opinion 2015 feels a lot like 2007. The Great Recession v2.0 may well play out next year.

For more background watch The Inside Job, an Academy award winning documentary about why the recession happened and how none of the big players went to jail. There has been little or no action taken to change the fundamentals of the economy.

The very same speculation that fueled mortgaged backed securities is rampant again. American consumers are tapped out in regard to borrowing power, having been force fed the idea they have to borrow lifetimes of debt to enjoy a lifestyle they have been told is the American Dream.

Don't count on the American consumer to guzzle up inventory next year. It will take another 10 years and likely an economic paradigm shift before the economy becomes solid again.

Quit being annoying. I never said LA. I said California. I gave numbers and you tried to refute with different numbers, and one of the most expensive cities in California.

And you are correct. People that can't win change the argument. YOU did that by the way.

And what's your 20 driver? In Boston, you need to make at least 75k pre tax to survive. That's a joke 50k.

And you deserve at least $75k just for dealing with driving in Boston.
