Whats the next step with conway after you have an interview and pass the roadtest? I did both the hr lady told me now corporate has to review my application.. Thanks for any and all input..

 

you should be getting a call from the personnel guy you dealt with. You'll fill out some crap for hireright and once that comes back he'll call you with your 2 week training/start date.

 

Well right after I posted the above. I got a call from the hiring manager, she told me she had an offer letter for me, and to come in tomorrow and sign and take the dot drug test and physical.. Looks like I am on my way! I am a little nervous I must admit.But ready to make some real money for a change.

Lol don't get too excited, it all depends on where you go and freight through the area. Don't want to rain on your parade, but con dash way can be an enigma sometimes. Go with a lower expectation and you'll be fine.

don't expect to work 40hrs every week. The only time you'll get paid for 40 hrs is during your 2 weeks of training. Anything after that is not set in stone.

I like working for con-way, got out of the military all gung-ho about working here, and slowly sucked my morale away.


You can still make money here, and this from a guy who has a bid run. Being the bottom guy at any LTL outfit is going to suck for a while. Just depends on how mch crap sndwiches you can take.

Oh by the way I well be out of the OKC terminal. It's a class 2 with 50 doors with 7 guys on the flex board as of right now.
