    It varies but it's something I don't discuss on the forum anymore. Rate per mile is just a part of the equation anyway and a lot of guys get hung up on it to their detriment.

    I'm short hauling this week in Tx . Running the Tx triangle every thing 2.00 to 2.50 Dry van . Short miles but I didn't want to get to far from home , family vacation to Tx Coast at end of week.

    Yes but what is he talking about $2.00 and $2.50? It makes absolutely no sense when somebody tosses random numbers like that out there. An average can't be 2 numbers. So what is it? $2.25? $2.25 what??? Is that what he averages all miles in or is that his rate per mile? There is a difference. Rates are on loaded miles not empty ones. The driver was asking what the rate per mile was. It doesn't really matter anyway but these kinds of discussions usually go nowhere or all over the place and are meaningless without a lot of context.

    lol ok well I wasn't going to post my exact rate for any one lane . Just throwing it out there what I'm doing this week for the dude who isn't gonna get much more info from anyone. Sorry not enough info for ya .Geez

    Ok well move on . I'm not doing a break down of all miles . Guy that asked the question thanked my post and I hope that gives him a little help . I guess my post has as much relevance as yours according to your logic. Moving on .
