Freight Rates and Loads

Some Brokers think they’re so smart. Trying to get a hold of your Truck. I told one they should buy a Truck and run some of their freight if it’s so good.

 

I do well enough. Especially when Freight was scarce. All I heard was Drivers Company And O/O looking to change companies.Trucks sitting around a lot.I was hurting too but at least didn’t have stress of relying on someone else to run

 

Sounds like easy deal less headache than own authority.Bottom line is revenue

Ill take 10 of them be rich in no time!!

 

I've got a good account that knows his stuff. Expensive but he handles everything including my payroll.

 

I’ve been running under S Corp for years. Had a couple problems recently due to new tax laws. Think it’s my tax lady’s daughter screwing up.3 yrs ago a $ 1600 mistake turned into $4400 with penalties and 10 mo interest . Seems like every time I take more than a week off things go to pot. Exception was last mo got letter from IRS oh no here we go again ! Turned out another mistake this time I got a check for $700. Also bought a lottery ticket that day. Lol. One more screw up and I’m shopping for new Tax person.

 

Right now I'm on a daily rate account. $1000/day, 400 miles or less. Averaging 300 miles / day, working 7 days / week.

 

You should make the tax person pay for those mistakes. That's why they have insurance.

 

I know. I have been with her over 22 yrs through thick and thin . Has helped me more than once with profit/ loss statements etc. Everyone makes mistakes . Looking at tax return I could see She had my better interests in mind. It was an honest mistake really . I really would hate to lose her but when She retires and Daughter takes over I’ll probably switch
