I've seen people like you before .. ya get scared stiff if you can't see a human or a house ..
You have to have all the Amenities within hand's reach ..for 2 reasons .
1 to boost to anybody that will listen what a great person you are and all the great things you think you are doing
It comes down to you need other people to Survive & try to impress
2.. your scared of desolate areas and don't have the sense or skills to survive i
I'am pretty confident when I say .. I bet you would drive100 miles farther on the interstate to get to your destination vs white knuckle 50 miles of Desolate 2 lane road
You make fun.of us because you are scared of us thats what it amounts to City Boy

On the flip side, one income used to support that and be able to pay it off in a few years dedicating 30% of their income to pay it off. Plus they could still support a family.

Housing costs were a small portion of one’s income, as was everything else.

You can, because you already got experience and skills, but a regular trucker cant

I've been at it over two years now. Got past my probationary period. Am I a regular?

The personal bickering and political comments need to stop. The thread needs to get back on track.

A "regular trucker" is someone who is not college educated and lacks skills/experience to work at places where manual labor is not required.

Hi Reo, I think everything in this thread ties together. Freight shortages and market issues are the result of politics. Maybe we can move it to the politics forum?

I won't move it unless there's no other choice. Politics is where good threads go to die. Too many knee-jerk reactionaries that respond to everything by attacking the person posting. It's boring. A little sad, too.
You're perfectly welcome to start your own thread in Politics.

May have been kermit. I was routed from muleshoe to el paso by my gps. Most of the rds were 2 lane with construction and alot of traffic.
I usually go 70 through new mexico then 54. Much better.
