Dropped at WM Dc in Mt Crawford yesterday. Nothing available going south for hometime. Still waiting today. HT was supposed to start yesterday morning. Its a holiday weekend. I should jave expected as much.

Last two loads had the trailers and load numbers all confused. Not sure if the problem was on the USX side or the FSI side. This weeks pay is gonna suck because of them trying to work me back home.

    Finally....

Picking up a load tomorrow in Abingdon Va going to Dallas area, but I'm dropping at Lexington NC.

I might need a refresher course before I head to the shipper though.

    Ok back at it.
First week out, 2849 miles. Second week 1830. They were trying to work me home plus Presidents day nobody was open.

Only stayed home from Tuesday 6pm until Thursday noon. Picked up a load in southern Virginia and relayed in Charlotte.

Thursday deadheaded up to Claremont NC for a load to Hebron KY. 50 empty, 419 loaded. Delivered at 9:30 am. Ran like mad down to Henderson KY to pickup going to Denton TX. 217 empty, 732 loaded. Due 2/24 but Peterbilt in Denton will take early delivery. I am just north of Memphis on I55 in AR. Only 519 miles to go. Ill deliver about 4:30pm 2/23.

I hope there is something to get on Sunday.

    P

So far so good. Would love to run over 3000 consistently, but I had to get home for a minute.
Got up early and ran 549 miles and dropped in Denton Tx. Sitting at the TA in Denton praying to the freight gods to get me loaded and running west tomorrow. It will be Sunday so fat chance. If no load I will have a 34 in by Monday so either way I win.

Well... no 34. Got dispatched at 4:24pm Sunday on a pickup down in Crossett, AR going to Novi MI for Tuesday at 8:30am delivery. 44 hour drive at 52mph avg including two 10hr breaks but NOT including fueling and br breaks. They needed it 40 hours after dispatch. Not possible for a solo. Delivered Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 pm. 324 mile deadhead, 930 loaded. Immediately dispatched out of snowy Detroit to pickup in Jefferson OH to Nashville TN,. Sitting at the J 7 miles from pickup tomorrow at 16:00, due the following morning at 11:11am. 228 miles deadhead, 569 loaded.

Turned in 2672 miles for the week with almost two days hometime. Only 8:17 left of 70. Gonna be recapping for a while.

Well, made it to I71 Exit 28 Pilot just before Louisville KY before I got down to 50 minutes on my 70hr clock. Figured there would be no way to make it to the other side of Louisville and down to the first I65 truckstop towards Nashville. Turns out there is no delivery appointment on this load anyway, so no rush. They will still probably have someone come get it from me. I get zero hours back tomorrow, so plan on getting a 34. Then I can RUN LIKE THE WIND!!!

I'll be taking this load into Nashville myself tomorrow when my 34 is done, then have a Preplan to pickup about 10 miles away to run to Katy, TX. Pickup is two days from now, hopefully it will be ready early.

BTW, DT is retarded. Wanted to send me into the middle of a field to fuel yesterday. Not only that, she's got a very loud mouth. I'd tell her to shut her pie-hole when I am listening to something good on XM, but that would just be rude.

Took that load to Nashville, quite a mess unloading. It was a drop yard/shipping container yard, and the load was meant for their trucks. The little guy in the office just told me to drop the trailer. Phone number went to a guy who worked there... but was in NC... long story short, after walking down the road a mile to the former location of the consignee, turns out they were for the trucks at the yard. Emptied, ran up to Mt Juliet, TN to pick up another load down to Katy, TX due on Sunday morning (interesting drive down 59, lemme tell ya). Dropped in Katy TX on Sunday, hooked to another old USX trailer, and spent the rest of Sunday chilling at the Flying J on I10, exit 732 outside of Houston. Man, that shower felt good.

This morning I woke up at 3:15, deadheaded from Katy to Waco, got there at 8:30am to get a load to Pine Bluff AR (you know the place... with the "pleasant" old guy at the scale/checkin shack). I was to drop it in the yard in Little Rock, anyway. Ran a total of 618 miles up 35/20/30 all the way into LR and dropped at the yard. Had 22 minutes left on the clock. Supposed to pickup a load tomorrow 3/5 in McGee AR and run it to Chicago for 3/6. It was supposed to be picked up today. I have to get in the shop first anyway because I need to get my windshield washer pump fixed and figure out why my dash board lights are dead. Can't drive like that. I need the washer in that snowy salty mess. I find myself driving behind other trucks just to get the windshield wet so I can wipe them clean. While they are at it, I'm going to make them put some new wiper blades on my new.... already rock-chipped windshield.

Only turning in slightly over 2300 miles this week. Probably because of that 34 I was forced to take last week. Dispatcher is running me right up against the clock, rather than the preferred 9 hrs per day (never run out of hours that way).
