Can someone explain the different warranties available for the Cascadia w/DD13 or DD15 engines?
I'm looking at 2018-2023 used trucks and I see some showing EW3 warranty remaining, some with EW4 warranty remaining.
My questions are how many different warranties are there? And what does each warranty cover?

I had a 2012 Freightliner and I didn’t remember what the warranty code was but it had a 600,000 miles warranty on engine that included parts and labor. The big deal was it included the labor not just parts. Detroit was good on covering the warranty because I used the heck out of it on that 2012 engine. They didn’t include any downtime stuff so you are still stuck with a truck not going.
I thought I had oil leaking on air compressor. Simple job I had Freightliner do the job. They come back and said it’s the head gaskets was leaking but good news it was under warranty to fix it. So I said ok, when Freightliner took head off they found a burnt piston and rust in the engine block cooling ports.
Big problems with my used truck now and they had to call Detroit Diesel to see what they want to do since it supposed to be under warranty. It took Detroit Diesel 3 days to decide. The told Freightliner to take engine down to the block and replace the burnt piston and clean the inside of engine block with something and put it all back together. They did other stuff too. It took like 1.5 weeks but they did it all under warranty.
At the end of the warranty I took the truck to Detroit Diesel shop for more repairs and they called and said this has never hat before but you oil pump failed in the shop when they we’re working on it. So they had check bearing on the crack. They got damaged and Detroit replaced them no joking after the warranty expired because my truck was in there shop 1 day before the warranty expired and they had the truck doing other repairs already.
The labor that was included in that extra warranty my truck had because it was put on from the mega fleet when they got it saved me big money but the engine had so much warranty work it was crazy down time in shops.Rideandrepair and Arky Thank this. -
I've been searching a lot here and on FB and Google even. Apparently those extended warranties cover anything with freightliner part#. That's pretty inclusive I would think. I plan to have the warranty. I've never ran an emissions truck before, so I'll pay for the peace of mind. I don't mind downtime.. makes for more fishing!

I'm not that far along yet but thanks!
Can you explain what the different coverages are? How many different warranties are there? I typically only see EW3 or EW 4 advertised but I'm sure there is more than that available? -
EW3 does not include the One-Box after the first two or three years.
EW4 includes the One-Box up to five yearsArky Thanks this. -
