Freightliner goes into Neutral

that’s the issue I had a manual so I’m surprised and how it was doing that.

 

I'm believe the earlier versions predated the DT12. I'm sure it's auto-only now because that gives management far greater control over the trucks behavior.

 

I wish my brain would accept that answer. I’ll stick with my Casie being a good and smart truck. No major issues for 5 years even after the warranty expired.

That #### seems dangerous , I dont want anythig going to coast or neutral on a grade .

 

I can see the downhill. But not the uphill.

My pete with a 13 auto does it on the freeway. And I only drive local.

 

I have a similar issue. I drive a 2016 freighliner cascadia. It wouldnt matter if im full or empty. I would be driving in performance mode going up or down hill. I would loose all acceleration power and the gear screen would show me 2 lines ( - - ) then go into neutral then economy mode it usually only happens in econmy mode as well its never done it in performance mode until this morning 0546am. I was empty at the time. This is not normal for my semi. I checked transmission level, it was very low, but once filled it did not fix the issue. Started happening september of last year (2024). I am wondering if gears got messed up due to the fluids and now its not shifting properly like it should and in need of a new transmission thats why i am here to day to try and find the issue. ( and no im not talking about the E Coasting ) honestly hate that mode.
