    it blocks the gauges,and the spacer obstructs putting the socket in to tighten the nut.

    its a cheap wheel,and is built accordingly,but it is finished nicely for the cost.

    i removed the lower spacer. about 1" thick. lowered the wheel,unshrouded the gauges and also got it more out of the site picture thru the windshield. the old wheel was terrible in that regard.

    it is getting a tilt column eventually. wheel seems in a nice position.

    New steering wheel looks GOOD Buying a tilt wheel col. may be less$$$than you think,You can practice on the junk truck while you pull col. out of it, P/U new u/joint for steering shaft before you put the tilt in your truck?

    thanks.

    i can get a column for 75 bucks at bone yard. just gotta get there and do it. the little ball/collar joint in the tower on the floor is sloppy. and what a stupid design,i have to buy a new lower shaft to fix it.
