On my Shaker my cruise won't activate..I've tracked the problem down with Insite to the service brake handle. If it is in the down position meaning activated the cruise will come on, obviously can't drive that way
Anyone know if this would mean one of the valves are bad in the air manifold or possibly backwards in some crazy way? I've racked my brain and can't figure it out

may be bad servise brake pedal switch?
-
Do your brake lights stay on when pressed?
-
freightliners have two switches. one on pedal unit, other - pressure switch (used for brake light)dude6710 Thanks this.
-
There are separate switches for brake lights and cruise cancellation. The cruise switch is probably stuck.
-
Yes the brake lights operate properly. The problem is in the service brake handle. If it's in the released position the cruise will not function (jakes operate fine), with the handle in the down position I can operate the cruise switch while sitting for idle setting etc.
Of course with the switch down it operates the brakes and lights. It's just odd.
I've checked my clutch switch and it's working (again, the jakes are working, which the clutch switch ties into both systems) -
That's what I'm thinking Pablo....can a pressure switch go bad and read backwards? Or quite possibly be the wrong switch in the wrong position? Are all of the switches in the manifold the same and work the same way?
Also, I'm wondering can I use Calterm to alter the settings of that switch to trick it into operating backwards? -
with stuck pressure switch brake lamps are activated, but cruise works
-
Well I can forget that one because the lights are working fine
-
they make 2 switches, one works one way, the one you are looking are near the brake emer. pull/out inside dash, one is in/on other in/off, get test light behind dash CK. which one lights up.
