Why would he lose his CDL? It’s a hopper trailer. Unless it was a marked “no Trucks” or he was overweight for road. I am not aware of any warning, restriction for under trailer clearance. His front hopper. *and maybe landing gear* caught because of road hump. He missed his planned turn. *BTDT* found a 2nd road to elevator. It had an unsafe crossing for grain trailers, any long, low under clearance vehicle. He got caught.
Fired possibly/likely. But why lose CDL.
Do drivers love CDL for wrecking trailers on bridges. *often zero damage to bridge as they have heavy beam 3” lower*. Peels roof off.
Some trucks you can overinflated air bags. It might have gotten him high enough to back off?
I think I would have tried to disconnect tractor when train not stopping. Trailer $30k, load of corn $4500 but the tractor $$$$$?
I would not instantly fire him. Unless other issues. But loss of CDL? Nope
