Violation from 2021 and FINALLY on step 6 after years of screwing around. Just to be clear, I popped a test for THC but actually never smoked since then considering it gave me a severe panic attack after being clean for 8 months. Unfortunately, at the time I did smoke, I was chosen for a random shortly after. After years of operating lifts, yard dogs, and just working jobs I’m generally just not really happy about, I’ve rinsed my account to redo my SAP process and made it to step 6. The biggest hurdle now is finding someone to accept a driver with a violation and help me get the tests done.
I have read almost all there is to see about this company, and I am considering biting the bullet to go ahead with the hiring process.
id like to know if anyone’s had some recent experience in what I’d be getting myself into. The foreseeable plan is to run as hard as I can for a month or month and a half at a time before taking any kind of home time. It can be easily said than done, but it’s starting to seem like my only chance to get my life back on track and move forward.
I live in Dahlonega, GA. With 8 months exp working to transport and deliver steel as a Class A driver for BTD Manufacturing. They are not a carrier and although I did regional deliveries, I don’t think it counts as any Regional or OTR experience.
any and all information would be greatly appreciated, and or recommendations if possible
