I read somewhere on this forum recently that Freymiller wasn’t training new drivers now due to the pan(ic)demic. Not true. Texted with Liz, a recruiter there. They are still on.
So, let your heart be not troubled if you’re looking at them for training.
Freymiller, contrary to rumor...

Did Freymiller email your airline ticket?

That sucks if Freymiller went to the greyhound. When I went there in 2017 they flew me in from Pennsylvania.

That's good info! I edited my post.

No, but my gal Melton recruiter called me today to see how I’m doing. I felt guilty like a man who has cheated on his wife because I’ve been exploring other options, like Abilene and WEL, behind her back.
WEL doesn’t hire out of the panhandle. The Abilene recruiter left me a very positive and ebullient voicemail, but I’ve called her back three times already and left messages for her. WTH?
Freymiller found a trainer truck to put me on, but I had already accepted with Melton. I think I’ll wait for Melton, though. If they change the June 1st date again, I’ll reconsider reefer or dry van.
Don’t want to be Charlie Brown kicking at a football (orientation date) that Lucy (Melton) is holding. My Melton recruiter didn’t really understand that analogy.

I hear Freymiller has comfortable trucks compared to some of the other companies that take rookies.
Some of the drivers in the Freymiller forum said theyve been seeing 800-1100 weekly paychecks. They get you some good long runs.
I probably would have went with Freymiller except I needed a company to help me get my CDL. Then as I was working through my contract I found I was making more than that. So Freymiller never happened.
Sounds like a good outfit though.MericanMade Thanks this. -
Pick one and drive the truck

Ive seen a lot of Melton trucks this week, but that's probably because I ran upto OKC and back this week.
Flatbed made me a better driver. Learning how to keep a load strapped down securely while rollin down the road keeps you more alert and more focused.MericanMade Thanks this.
