Before he was caught messing around (Don) he spent a fortune to move his company from Bakersfield to Oklahoma City and then threw a big, big party one weekend for any driver (just not his drivers, anyone) that was in Oklahoma City or passing threw. He had tour buses going to the truck stops and picking up drivers and bringing them to his house for a cookout.
He only went bankrupt once and when he started back up he went slow and paid cash as he went until he built his business back up. He also owns Heartland Truck Sales in OKC, on the south side service road between the new Peterbilt dealership and the TA.
Freymiller is just like any other company out their. I haven't found one yet that hasn't lied or cheated over something, but then again have you ever met a driver or owner operator that was truly 100% honest. -

I worked for Freymiller in the early 90's they where horrible human beings then, good to see after David Freymillers "rebirth" he is still a piece of doodie.

I did the lease purchase thing with these guys ignoring all the warnings. I figured maybe some drivers were just crybabies who either didn't want to work or were too green to be able to turn any miles. Boy was I wrong. This company is like a sick joke!!! Oh sure I had a nice truck, but if you can afford to live with only that, you'll do well there. I, like many others have a family to support, bills to pay and have no time for settlements with jokes written on them.
The first thing is .92 cpm is no way, no how, enough money to make truck payments on, pay insurance, your own workers comp, maintenance, oil and worse, fuel. You have no way to budget fuel because there is no way to know how much your fuel rebate will be. Even if you follow every money suggestion the company tells their company drivers to do, like only get fuel at Love's blah, blah, blah, you will be broke and in the hole at all times. Lease purchase is 100% forced dispatch which means you will be forced to take runs that are crap with 5-10 stops on them under 300 miles, and you have nothing to say about it.
Now lets talk about the environment at the main office. This place employs thugs and punks and I don't mean just the drivers. Nobody likes anyone in the office and it is pure drama in there with their monitors that look like speedometers to tell them how much revenue they are making. I am a seasoned driver 13 years in the US and 3 in Iraq and I can also say company drivers are not making any money there either. I know of several that had $24 pay checks or less. I joked and told them they made more than me because I was in the hole. Stay far away from this scam!!!
This is a horrible company that is bent on making people angry and getting them to do things that will benefit the company and only the company. The government should shut down these con artists and there should be criminal repircussions for this stuff. Call up the recruiting department there and talk to the dingy recruiters there (there are only 2 women). I guarantee they're hiring, looking for the next sucker lease purchase or company driver. Don't say I didn't warn you. -

I spent close to 5 years driving for the Freymillers. I interacted with Don, Dennis, and David quite a bit during those years, and was treated with nothing but fairness, and respect from all of them. Freymiller is the only company I have drove for that puts the driver above everyone else. At the time I drove for them they were the biggest referigated carrier in the nation, and all the Freymillers took the time to talk to drivers and know what was going on with their drivers.
