Friday I got a warning for hand held devices and elogs malfunctioning

He didn't do a roadside inspection but he gave me violation for none working and false logs I didn't sign anything but he fined the company im leased onto 300 and put me put of service I didn't sign anything so is there a yahoo group I can do

The screen is dead a day ago and you arent carrying your backup paper? Again, that would be on you.

You just never signed the elog? Thats not even on your company, thats straight up your fault.

Me Eld has been messed up before it keeps doing. The same thing after they update it bottom line is it worth to get legal representation

No legal help will help you. Once an eld malfunctions, it’s your responsibility to switch to paper logs ASAP.

And I’m certain your psp report will list the OOS

 

I believe an inspection has to be done in order for the LEO to look at logs. All they have to do is a level 3. But why is it so hard to carry a paper backup, which is required?

Hopefully, if the OP was using a handheld device, they get nailed to the wall with railroad spikes. If not, simply make them prove it in court. BTW, we functioned and lived for thousands of years without cell phones, if you can't do without for a few hours while driving, there are mental issues that need addressed by a psychiatrist.
