They said it smelled awful. It was a barbeque too. I guess they said those grocery loads will burn for days.

I saw that on the news, that tanker truck went right over the jersey barrier and it looked like a bomb went off.

    Sure did.

He was going WAY too fast for conditions, and obviously failed to heed the cardinal rule of bridges freezing before the surface pavement. That's why I've been trying to remind people of that lately.

Bridge ice is also what caused the wreck I was stuck behind Friday night. It was drizzling with 20-degree temps and everyone wanted to stay hammered down.

These companies or owner operators from far away lands, must not care? Are truck insurance rates high? I know most of the legit companies are self insured, but I would have to believe a lot of these guys if they have the right insurance or insurance at all, have to be paying a good buck for it no?

Well everyone a little up date to this thread. The driver who was stuck in the snow, back then 6 months ago, ended up quitting and moved on. He now works for a garbage truck company. Actually he wasn't that bad of a driver, really, he got stuck in the snow once and that was really about it after that he was pretty steady Eddy, he actually probably made a backwards move going to the garbage truck company, but that's how it goes.

Stuck in the snow? Weawy? Seriously? Is this the Rubicon that this driver could not deal with? People are scared of heights sometimes but stuck in snow????
