I have a 2022 vnl 760, and the fridge works great, but when I reset, it shuts off and anything in it is warm. The fridge seems to stay on regardless of whether the inverter is on or not which I don't understand. Is this normal for it to shut off? Is there a workaround apart turning the truck on every day?

When you get back to your truck and the fridge is off are your dome lights and stuff also off? Sounds like you’re drawing your batteries down to the set point of the low voltage cutoff.

Agreed with longfld, try leaving a high window or two cracked open to reduce the amount the fridge has to work against its own greenhouse effect

(Assume that fridge is built in and operates on 12v power)

cke and Long FLD Thank this.

All the lights are off and stuff, the truck doesn't seem to be low on power when I come back to it. It is the built in fridge. I've tried closing the curtains to keep it cool, home is southern California so it's hot. Is there an auto start function that can be toggled on to refresh the battery?

Possibly like some 12V portable options, there's a voltage setting on the fridge?

Mine have all had 3 levels of battery level where they would turn the fridge off to save battery.

If it has one, turn it to the lowest setting and see what happens. Maybe goog the user manual

The truck doesn’t seem low on power because it’s cutting everything off before the fridge draws your batteries down below 12v. About the only thing you can do if it can’t be programmed to auto start is go down and let it run for 30 minutes or so on your day off or clean your food out and take it home with you.

On the weekends I just clean my food out and bring it in the house. I could plug into shore power but I figure I don’t need to run the fridge in the truck constantly when I park in my driveway when I’m home.

That's what I'm more or less trying to avoid, I haven't looked into just connecting shore power. Can I do that with a regular extension cord?
