I got a 2017 389 and the mirrors are whistling so bad. Usually I can handle it because it was just the passenger side. In this truck it’s both and I’m a free A/C type of guy. Does anyone know how to fix this? Only happens above 45mph and gets worse the faster I go.

If I had to just guess I’d probably say CB antennas.. -
Park at the corner at the nearest Love's. That mirror and all it's noise will be gone in no time.

I had a Volvo do this, right at the seam where the front and back of the mirror would connect. I put a piece of thin chrome car body molding right before the seam to block the wind from hitting that seam. Amazingly it worked, the whistle stopped.
This was on a Volvo though.Last edited: Mar 25, 2025

I made several changes at once but the whistling noise went away. Got rid of OEM plastic junk mirrors and replaced with Moto Mirrors, took 4” spot mirrors off and replaced mirror brackets. I also took the mirror lights off which helped with mirrors shaking at higher speeds in heavy winds. I silicon caulked the seams on the old mirrors before I did all this and it helped slightly.
