Hey everyone!
Sorry it's been so long since my last update, between the holidays and then transitioning to being back on the road, I haven't been on here nearly as much as normal.
Things are in a holding pattern at the moment. I see the Dr again on Jan 31st to make sure my blood pressure it reacting correctly to the medicine (he said he wanted me on it 4 to 6 weeks before seeing me about it). As long as everything checks out there I will be getting my physical and permit that same hometime and starting school Feb. 28th.
If things don't go smoothly then school will be pushed back again, probably another month or two.
I have been checking my blood pressure twice a day with the wrist monitor I bought and average right around 114/68 so I am optimistic.
I hope all of you had a wonderful time over the holidays!

Oops, I completely left out the vision part.
I was told to wait on the glasses til after my blood pressure is stabilized as high blood pressure can affect your vision.
So after I see the Dr about my BP if he says I'm good then I will go get my eyes examined and get glasses (I might get contacts later but right now want to avoid any unnecessary reoccuring costs).xlsdraw, Wedge and Wanna drive Thank this. -
Katey,
Sorry to hear about you misfortunes. I hope everything goes well for you. If you need glasses, the less expensive alternative, do not be ashamed in getting them. I wear them and have worn them for 12yrs now. Good luck and be positive.
KHWedge Thanks this. -
Katey good news on the BP
keep it up!!!!! -
Well, it's been a while but I finally have a little bit of news.
Chris got approved to train me!! Now all he has to do is take a class at the terminal in Joplin sometime between now and when I finish orientation.
Now that's one less thing to think about.
I am still just waiting to go see my Dr before there is progress on that front but it's good to know about the training thing atleast.
Oh, on a side note, I put a few pics of our truck up in my albums.
Hope everyone is staying safe and warm!

Good for you Katey.

Katey that's good news! and I am presuming Chris is your boyfriend?
Any idea of dates for Chris's training or you?
Hopefully things keep moving in the right direction! -
Yes, Chris is my boyfriend, probably should have clarified that lol.
Not sure when he will do the 1 day class, probably either when he drops me off for school or when he picks come to Joplin after I finish orientation before we head out.
My training is still a good ways off tho. School won't start 'til Feb 28th at the earliest and it's 5 weeks long then theres orientations so I would say mid to late April for training.sammycat Thanks this. -
SWEET!! That's a good thing!!
