Way to go, Katey! :biggrin_25519: Now take all of that positive energy and apply it to learning to drive. You'll have your license before you know it.

    Hey everyone!

I have not abandoned TTR! Sorry my posts have been non-existant lately, life has been CRAZY! Don't have time to catch you all completely up right now but will do what I can.

I left home the day after I got my permit. I met my boyfriend in Joplin where I helped him trade from our old T2000 to a new T660. The new truck has some things we like better and some things we don't like. I will post an album of pics when I get some time.

I spent i think it was 3 day in Joplin with him while he switched trucks and took a "new truck" class that Con-Way requires and he also took the Driver Finisher class so he can be my finisher (trainer) after school.

Once he had to leave I went up to Kansas City, MO for a week or so to spend time with some family that I hadn't seen in over 2 years. I left there Sunday morning and drove down to Neosho, MO where Crowder is located.

You can't get into the dorms until Monday afternoon after your firszt day of class so I got a hotel room for the night, did a little shopping, and got some rest.

I started class on monday. Monday was mostly all paperwork. After lunch we went out and started going over pre-trip. They let us out around 2:30 or so to go get our DOT Physicals and drug tests done. I passed both (thankfully even though I had to get another physical done this one went smoothly). The rest of the class was told to just go home after that was done but I had to go back to campus and get moved in my dorm.

When I got back to campus I was told to meet the dorm supervisor in front of the dorms and he would give me my key and such. When I got there he told me that apparently there had been a mix up and he had been told there would be no female trucking students for a while so he had to move some guys out of my dorm before he could move me in.

After the guys moved out they gave me a little run down on the tips and tricks to my dorm and I got my key.

I didn't have time to move in then because it was time for dinner (dorm students get free meals in the cafeteria but you have to go when they serve the meals (Breakfast 7 AM, Lunch 11:15 AM, Dinner 5:15).

Speaking of lunch, time for me to get ready for lunch so I will continue my update when I have some more time (hopefully later today after lunch and stuff).

Hope everyone is doing well :D

That's great news, Katey. Glad to see it's working out for you.

Make sure you work hard and get it done. You'll be on the road with your boyfriend before you know it. :biggrin_255:
