I started in lease with Prime about one year ago , in reefers , and feel discomfortable about my earnings. I am thinking about switching to company driver without waiting for the end of the lease. I , honestly , don't know a lot about working as a company driver for Prime in comparison to lease. Can anyone advise me and/or refer to any source of extra information on that please? Thank you.
From lease to solo with Prime.

dave01282000 Thanks this. -
With a years experience you could go almost anywhere. Quit wasting your time at Prime.

I started as a company driver at Prime. It was a good starter experience as they kept me moving and I learned how to run reefer pretty well.
I agree, after a year you might want to look at other opportunities...a lot of them open up after you have a year of experience. -
They might have traps for early lease termination. I signed two years contract

Can you please let me know what traps might early lease contract termination have
-
I didn't lease with them, but from talking with other drivers there it sounded like the weekly lease payments were kinda high and they didn't go home a lot as a result of that. Also if you turn it in early, you don't get the "lease completion" bonus...no idea how much that is but it probably varies.
When you turn your truck in they're going to look for things to charge you for, so be prepared for that. -
Prime may come after you...for the balance amount...left on the lease...if you didn't complete the agreement
