I love it. I imagine they will let it get to 600000 miles and then put me in something new. This truck has more power and is way more roomy. Unfortunately they are phasing out the petes. Transland is buying some more Protstars and some new Vovlos but not Petes so I am enjoying this one for as long as I can.

I will be going to a community collage for an upgrade. Class A to B. I too am a school bus driver. I'm sure that reading about someone's trials and tribulations while make mine a little easier to take.

You will have the upper hand when it comes to a lot of it like the pretrip and some of the drivng. Backing will throw you a loop for awhile because everything is opposite from a bus because of the bend in the middle. Good luck!

I've pulled a large gooseneck with a "box" type container attatched delivering feed to acreages with a F3504x4 for a whil and did ok with that. I just couldn't find any other way to get the Class A. Now it's time to go to classes and work at the same time. Oh well should be more hireable this way>

Everything is well. I have fallen way behind. I have been pulling 3000 mile weeks despite the economy. I will start fresh in March.

I must be doing something right because the company has put me in a BRAND NEW VOLVO. By brand new I mean a 2010 never been ran truck.
The two complaints of my last Volvo are fixed on this one so I thnk I am gonna like this truck. Don't worry i will post as much as I can. I will get a pic up next time.

Gave up the Pete, eh? To me, that would have been tough to do.

I drove a 1999 Mack. It was one of the last mechanical motors. It would run like a dream. Never let me down. Company bought 2 new trucks in 2002 offered me one. I never really was a Mack man but loved the 1999 model.
I was going to turn down the new truck. An old friend of mine. He was more of a mentor. He was a old timer with years of experence. He told me "son don't ever turn down a new truck". I asked why? He said thoes new trucks come with 10 new tires and new brakes.
