This is an old shade tree trick that I picked up years ago while working with Jeeps, I have done this numerous times to buy a little time for myself and friends as well. If there is nothing really wearing out other than the seal trying to drip every now and then, spray it again when it starts to leak but sooner or later it will have to be replaced. Be sure to verify that the vent tube has not been plugged by something, you would be surprised what sometimes finds it's way into the vent tube.

I actually pulled off both of the vent tubes today and blew through them. They were clear.
Thank you very much for the tip though!
It's still oozing just a little tiny bit after driving 650 miles today but it's much, much better after the WD 40!
