Is it possible that the hood could make that popping noise on a sharp left or right turn. I mean anything is possible. LOL
RubyEagle Thanks this. -
If anything is loose or cracked in the chassis and causing this you should find the rust stains from where the pieces are moving or rubbing against each other. You might have to be loaded, open the hood, and just do some figure "8"s while a second person is walking beside you and watching for this. Maybe they can pin point the area or actually see something. Check your steering gear where it bolts to the frame too.

Have you checked to see if every grease fitting is taking grease? I don't know about all Petes but every 379 I've ever seen will pop like that when they need grease, I always grease once a week. Good luck.

there is a pin and bushing where it connects to the front end , did you not replace that also?

I did not change the front part of the springs. I just noticed there is washers in the front but the washer has a little play. I put alot of grease in there yesterday and actually it helped!! It is not perfect but definately helped. I did not know that there is a pin and bushing on the front also. The mechanic didnt mention anything about that when they replaced the hangers and all the parts to the rear part of springs. I appreciate all the input. THANKS TO ALL

I know it sounds crazy but if you run that fifth wheel dry you will swear it is the front end popping and with you saying it is worse when heavy I would check it and also check the bushings where the top plate mounts to the truck.
