Dumb question! 2000 Freightliner classic xl it has greaseable shackles and bushings for the front leaf springs. I have never had these before. Should there be a noticable gap between the springs and the shackles? I assume not but I have always had traditional non greased leaf bushings. They don't make any bad bangs or pops. Also were these factory standard for this year or did someone add them later? Thanks!

Dealer would know per vin. Hard to say. My 99 had them. My 2001 has rubber ones. My 2001 also shows up as a 2000 In Freightliner’s system. My guess is someone changed them. Considering it an upgrade. IMO only if they used Horton roller bushings.

Mine need replaced. It appears they are horton roller bushings. I have some poly bushings here but I don't think they will fit and I would need to order shackles. I bought them for my old 2001 I don't have anymore. I gotta pull one apart and see what parts I need. Should just be the pin and bushing hopefully. I have to take some measurements and see what I even have.
