Michelin directional tires can be flipped after 50% of tread depth use.

Yup thats true. All this liability most tire shops are scared to death. I tried to buy a used steer tire at speedco once. I didn't even need it at the moment, but thought it would make a great spare to have around. They would not sell it to me. Hate to be long winded but..a guy told me once he woke up across from a speedco. Noticed his one steer tire was almost flat. So he idled over and and asked them to air it. They would not, said its a run flat. He says feel it, not even warm i just came from across the street, nope no way. Thats why, carry your own air hose.

    Get TWO NEW steers Always.

Those two tires are the MOST IMPORTANT on the entire rig. They are everything.

You DO NOT get to CHEAP OUT on these. Buy two new steers and be done with it properly balanced and mounted.

You do not carry a spare just for steer. You will replace both steers when the time comes.

I blew a trailer tire a while back. I used my $10 1/4” Die grinder with a cutting wheel, to get it off the rim, it was wrapped around the axle, took out the abs sensor. Took about 3 hrs of cutting, what a PITA, but I avoided a service call.
