I had someone gave me a price for the BFGoodrich.
The highway control s tire is $441.50 and the st230 is $417.85. Plus $42 for Mount and balance.

The highway control s is the Long Haul Tire the st230 is the regional.

I had one of the salesmen telling me about the decoupling Groove.

He was saying that the decoupling Groove is better if you run a long-haul truck but it's the wrong application if you have a truck that makes more multiple stops or is more of a local truck because of the turning.

I'm working more on doing short-haul so I suppose either would work but the Long Haul Tire would probably be better overall I think.

FET yes, the dot# on tire keeps track of that. I think it’s $28 or $38 per, maybe

Dino soar and truckdriver31 Thank this.

I am pretty sure the 230's is what I have been running for years, and i"m not 100% sure what you are calling a decoupling groove, but I have had very good luck with them on 4 different trucks. I was not even aware of the other offering, now I will have to look and see if they have some here, to look at.

The extra groove runs around the tires edges, usually about 1/2” from sidewalls.Supposed to help keep them from cupping.

I think someone else recommended the st230.

That decoupling Groove has really got me thinking about more of a long haul Tire.

Some trucks you might be able to get away with a little bit of cupping and it won't be too bad.

If you get any of that at all with the Freightliner it will send you right into a colossal shake and that's it you have to buy new tires.

My international, was as bad or worse, and the reason I started buying the Goodrich tires. It had bridgestones on it when I bought it, and I was too cheap to buy them when I needed new tires. I went through several brands in no time at all. After multiple trips to front end shops, I finally went back to bridgestones, and they lasted good. I needed tires and no bridgestones were available and my tire guy talked me into trying the goodrich, been there every since, on everything I have had since.
