Ok except that if you idling you still need something to plug into, second I really wouldn't be bringing a microwave with you as if I am understanding this right your going to orientation and then from there you going into training with another driver? Or you have the experience and going straight into a truck?
microwaves are a dime a dozen, get to orientation and if you still need one buy one from Wallyworld find em from $30-$60. Most time students bring way too much stuff for training sometimes it's just crazy.
my second to last student really wanted a micro, so after I graduated him I gave him mine, maybe you be lucky and trainer ends up giving you one like I did just a thought
frozen meats in a cooler how long would it last

well im not cooking it raw in the microwave im gonna cook it at home freeze it and take it with me

I don't want to have run down to the hotel lobby to warm my food up
-
I wont make it in a truck with a trainer until the 3 rd week the second week is at the terminal training for load securement and things like that I will be in a hotel room for the first 2 weeks and when I do get my own truck I plan on buying some power inverters that u just plug into the cig lighter looking outlet
-
the only food I'm planning on taking that will be cooked is some sloppy joe's chicken tacos's and some beef patties I have some can food and some sand which meat also

again your talking about a microwave, you need at least 1k watt inverter and those have to be hardwired in, but I have seen people use jumper cable ends hook to battery to use it. The highest I believe you can get to plug into a cig. Lighter is about 450w. But not nearly enough to run a micro.
its good to do research but your a long way from getting into a truck. And I'll bet you will be on the road longer than a week with a trainer most places average at least 30-60 days before one is let loose on the public -
I do plan on asking them I'm not just going to do it but I would like when I get my own truck to have a frig a microwave and be able to run my laptop and charge my phone
-
your misunderstanding what I mean by yard training after yard training then your in a truck with a trainer for 4 weeks so the total training time plus orientation week is 7 weeks I know im far away form getting my own truck im not even hired yet
