Just get some isopropyl alcohol, 91 or better 99 percent. Add a few drops of propylene glycol to it if you want.

mix 60/40 with distilled water and put in spray bottle. Got Ice on you windshield or mirrors? Shake spray bottle, spray windshield and wait a minute or two. You will see it start working.

I poured alcohol in the Windex bottle...some window cleaner is still left in it...but the alcohol is the dominant ingredient. I spray everything down, even the door handles and the latches inside. I've even seen some drivers pour a little alcohol in the air line. I've yet to try that, as I've always just sprayed the brakes if I anticipated really bad weather.
