This is EXACTLY what I did and what happened! I figured if I run out of hrs, it would be at night time with low traffic. The last thing I wanted was for this to happen during the day or worse at rush hour. Everyone and their momma would be calling the company complaining.

Screw that slow roll, start, stop, switcharoo bs...just drive the darn truck where it needs to go and do it safely. Communicate what happened professionally to the right people and take the little hos violation spanking. If you work for a decent company this isn't a problem.

I know lots of people don't agree with me but I think Qualcomm an E logs are ruining this profession.

It is So hard for fmcsa to make 12hr driving/15 on duty hr/9 cons off duty hr. Average person only sleeps 7-8 hours. Be wise with planning your trip. Rookie mistakes are always common. Lets stand against fmsca and tell them that elog isn't the answer to the trucking industry. It's like USA politics doesn't want to hear about anti-fracking rally.

Tony, Everything is game. I requested input on how to play it to my advantage. I didn't read any suggestion from you in your post.

The "freaking paycheck" that you speak of is what is needed for me to provide for my family. Also, there were NO WEATHER ISSUES btwn FL and SC.

    Be Blessed

It's always the same ole thing. You'll have dispatch saying one thing and safety department saying another. They're sending mixed messages an the driver is always the one a fault no matter what.

i think his suggestion was don't plan so tight. Your problem was not an elog issue. It was a plannin issue. I know the popular thing to do is blame the box and quite frankly it is a pain in the neck at times but that's not what the problem was here

    C & C Thanks this.
