Hey genius people make bad decisions....and have paid there debt to society. I have a felony in my past, that doesn't mean I can't be a safe and dependable driver, as a matter of fact I have 1.2 million miles with no accidents/tickets. Sure some companies won't touch me....as far as im concerned its there loss. I guess they would rather hire a rookie right out of school then a proven quality driver.
-
Not a felony, but I know what you mean...Back in 1980 when I got a DUI at age 20,and again at age 22,little did I know at age 44 I would be a long haul truck driver, still, companies hold this against me,just happened last week...bitter?-No......Kinda funny?- I think so.....

your right, I mean NO ONE has ever been thrown in jail being drunk, it never ever ever happens. I guess all those drunk tanks at the City/County jails are full of sober people who wandered in

For twic card you just need to have no convictions for the last 7 years..THATS IT.. Unless you had been convicted of some type of terrorist act. then you will never get a twic card & they are good to have cause it improves your chances for employment.
-
Wrong. Some convictions may disqualify you for life. http://www.tsa.gov/what_we_do/layers/twic/twic_faqs.shtm#Crimes

If i had a conviction over 20 yrs ago,i would not never check yes.If i been out of trouble that long & a company go that far on backround checks & still hold that against me, than hell with them on to the next one....Just my 2 cents
-
Well i did say unless you have some type of terrorist conviction than you will never get a twic card.
-
