Just a few and not over the top rates but I think your numbers in terms of available trucks are off. A lot of guys from the south are up this way. -

I wouldn't go to OK or DE period, IA would have to come up on the rate, $4.00 broker freight is unrealistic hence your frustration.

I am in early stages of thinking about adding a flatbed. By my numbers the added costs add about .05-.10/mile and then look at the added work of tarps/securement. I normally see a lot of plus $3 rates but not today.
My point on the load to truck ratio this week is that a lot of company trucks never get posted as available. And with Southern loads being held back and companies keeping trucks out of South that number may not accuratly represent what is happening. I was in OH and saw similar numbers for the past couple days. Was calling on some regular loads and my contacts said stuff was moving off boards fast this week. -
Thats what im thinking the most i see is $3.00 a mile...................
What load board are you finding $4.00 a mile loads? and im not talking 100 miles -
He's not. For the most part the realy good loads never make the load boards and if you cant take a load at $2.50 a mile and make money your doing something realy wrong.
Eskimo6804 and outerspacehillbilly Thank this. -
