What? if you d.h. to TN. you would get there sooner than if you had to load from TX then unload, then get to Tn. you would need to see if you could get the load from Tn later in the day or the next day if YOU took the TX load.

Meathead is a fitting name for you I guess.

While I understand you and Injun's theory how long you going to sit and wait to find a ltl and take the chance on loosing the load in TN, or loosing out on a hi paying reload in OH where freight is plentiful? It makes sense in theory but only if you could get one right away not to wait for one.

    Injun and Les2 Thank this.

As Les2 mentioned, I got the point. Miles is miles no matter what's on your wagon. Or not.

I just threw in another variable. Until the load is on the truck, there's risk. If the customer is worth betting 500+ mi of DH for, then yes, the TN load is the better choice.

Which is why I said try to find an LTL. I wouldn't be sitting around waiting for that TN load to cool off. But if I can find a quick LTL that can be loaded and unloaded without delay, I will pay some of the bills for the truck on the way to TN for the good load. Generally, short freight pays a higher rate than long freight.

There was no time limit placed on pickup of the TN load. If it was expedite, and I agreed to do it, you bet'cha I'd deadhead to it.
