i doubt any of you ATT customers will get a check. ATT paid ftc $105 million in fines last month for billing you all for charges that shouldn't have been there.
think bogus charges for phone scams we all don't agree too.

Id be careful here too......remember the mtg. crisis? Well my servicer had me bent over and was over charging me, fees etc and you know the drill....well....then I get a post card in the mail ....says were gonna sue them on your behalf and get your money back.....really? Yep I sign up....
And along comes a check some moons later...( bout a year ) 2 grand ! Yipee! Until I get a 1099 for the 2 grand!
So I smoke the tax man! I say Hey! That's my money that they stole! WTF !? Tax man says too bad..it's income....and I argue but it's my money! Tough he says......
No kidding......so they steal from me, I sue and get some back and now I have to pay tax on my money! What a deal!
Could happen here too.... -

Here's the thing, and it's a trend we are seeing where corporations like att, Bank of America Wells Fargo knowingly commit fraudulent activities will STILL generate profit anyways, so in ATT's example a 105 million dollar fine is a slap on the wrist. ATT has 64 billion in revenue a year and 105 million dollars is nothing.
This is is why the banks haven't changed their ways. It's easier to commit fraud and pay a fine, still profitable. -
