Any one use CenPeCo stuff? real high price. They have an additive called Outlaw that the local pulling guys swear by. Said it cut smoke way down and made a big power difference. Supposed to create more complete burn when mixed with the fuel. ???????
this guy started using it and his truck smokes way less after using it. watch the pull that says "fonda ny"

using 2stroke at 300:1 i got worse fuel economy, my previous worst ever was 5.67 miles to a us gallon, with 2stoke oil it is 5.54 and would have been worse if i carried more heavy loads like i often do. so my experience is dont use 2stoke if u want to improve fuel economy. I also did not see a great improvement in soot reduction out of the stacks, it was better for a while but i am guessing that the ECM reprogramed itself after a while and the soot returned. So 2stoke may clean the injectors and lubricat the fuel pump but i would not expect perminent improvements in soot reduction and no improvement in fuel economy ( worse fuel economy is to be expected) P.S My engine is a Cummins M11 other engines may be different. PPS i do believ that 2stoke cleans injectors because the engine now idles smoother after using 2stroke, so i will run 2stroke at 600:1 once a month just to keep the injectors clean.

In a nutshell - from my initial findings, 2 stroke will clean injectors and help lubricate the fuel pump / injectors, all for a very small investment. I will continue to use it!

Well. I am not sure the amount I put in, but it was the small bottle that you would put in to mix with a gal of gas for a chainsaw. it was poulan smokeless 2 stroke oil. I did not look at the oz. I think there has to be some longer term usage, & real driving experience with it to determine if it works for YOU. generally speaking. if ya got lower m.p.g. using it... it may be hard to determine if the 2 stroke caused it. you know how things go. 2 of the exact same runs, same weight, e.t.c. but 1 can have different m.p.g. I know that after using lucas fuel treatment, that is filling up my davco, then pouring the rest in tanks always seen an improvement in m.p.g. others say different. but after 10 years of using it off & on. I can say if it made a diiference, no coincendence after so many years of documentation. if 2 stroke does help my engine in any way & does not harm it, but it loses m.p.g., as long at he the m.p.g. loss is minimal & the good outways the bad, I'll use it. thanks Dave for posting your preliminary results. keep ups posted on future results.

Well i decided to try the two stroke oil, put in 1 gallon per 240 gal. fuel. Just ran for today and filled up, fuel mileage was up and truck sounds a little smoother. Have to moniter for next few days to get a better idea if this is gonna work.

I ran 2 stroke oil in mine for 4 fill-ups, about a gal to 200 gallons of fuel. I noticed a slight rise in my fuel economy, but what was really noticeable was that the idle has smoothed out tremendously.

After 4 fill-ups, I stopped using it to see what would happen. So far I haven't seen any change in fuel economy, good or bad, but the idle has stayed smooth. I seem to recall reading somewhere (on this forum, or not I have no clue) that it has more to do with lubricity in the injectors rather than any burn characteristics.

I'll freely admit, I know a hell of a lot more about the burn characteristics of gasoline, alcohol & nitromethane than I do about diesel.

I use the Wal-mart 2 cycle oil that seems to be a good lubricate to add this crappy ULSD we are stuck with.

I used 2 stroke 2 times, once just the little couple oz bottles that ya mix with 1 gal gas. the next time I put in 16oz each tank on fill up. 230 gal total capacity. have not noticed any difference in m.p.g. or idle, yet. though with my loads & having to go balls to the walls at times on driving, sometimes I have it at 68-72 m.p.h. on interstate & if not pressed for time, than 62-65 m.p.h. so could not calculate accurately if m.p.g. were up or down.

I use it around 150 gallons of fuel to 1 gallon of Walmart 2 cycle oil.

The ULSD is crap for a lubricant with the 2 cycle oil helping that can't hurt.

I have tried them both and to me I burn more fuel. But when I use motorkote I notice a huge difference. Try it you'll be happy.
