I doubt it. Its a racket to charge more for a card other than Comdata or TCH, EFS etc.

All the stops are going to look at the other cards the same way.

I use a debit card for fuel and do not get the cash price because it says VISA on it. I fuel at the stops that charge the same price cash or credit and most of the time they are still cheaper than the large box outlets!!!

Yesterday for example..... Cheyenne WY. FlyingJ $3.419, across the street at a Valero that charges the same cash or credit.......... $3.399
Most likely their fuel came off the same rack at the same refinery.

I have a card for J and can write checks there...I get cash price and also the co we are leased to we will get a discount on top of that. Save the credit card for the very few places we go that we don't have a J to buy fuel. We can also write checks over the fuel amt. if he needs extra cash before he gets back. And yes if at all possiable pay off those cards every month, it's about making a proffit and if I am going to blow my money I prefer to blow it on something I can own not a fee for the cc company. that x-tra help buy oats for Elmer.

    Have pony will travel.......

There's a company called Fleet One that has a fuel card that works just like comdata's but doesn't charge you a swipe fee at the pump. I've been using them since Sept. '07 and it works fine. Doesn't work at the J's though and it's weekly terms but it saves a bundle.

I was wondering which card is the best and cheapest for fuel cards, and monitoring the fuel spending and etc.. I was looking at FleetOne and also Comdata, I noticed Comdata offers a program to pay the drivers through the comdata machines, which is the best cost effective for its service... ?

I'm curious to know what fuel cards every one uses and likes?? You can also say who don't like too. Theres so many out there, so I thought I'd see what people use. Thanks!

I use TCH or VISA. No comment really, other than I get the cash price with TCH. I fuel mostly at the Flying J as it's usually the cheapest and most convenient for me.

Fleetone is a great card. There are no fees unless you get a cash advance or don't pay your bill. They bill weekly and is direct withdrawl from your bank account. If there isn't enough there you will be charged interest on the unpaid balance. Also you get the cash price and at some mom and pop fuel stops you get rebated that are paid quarterly if I remember right. The only place I know of that doesn't take Fleetone is Flyin J.

Comdata just has way to many charges. Theres a charge to load the card, use the card, cash advance, and probably one for when you go to the bathroom to.

    I haven't gotten that bathrooms charge yet....:biggrin_2554:
But you are right, they charge for everything unless you work for a big company then they only charge you for certian things.
