I have a 2006 Pete 379 with a C15 MXS Cat. The fuel filter vac gauge is reading 12 to 12 1/2. Truck is running and pulling great. Any ideas on what could be causing that?

At 12 I am sure its it's in the red. I change mine when it gets in the red. Trucks that don't have a fuel restriction guage, generally are changed when noticeable power loss or sputter occurs. In my opinion it's best to change it before power loss and sputtering, so you don't have to change it on the side of the road.

So basically the fuel filter vac gauge acts as a warning that your filters are getting bad? I was just wondering if anything else would cause it to climb.

Any restriction in the fuel system prior to where the gauge is plumbed in will show up on the gauge.
