Fuel Fittting Box Lining

I was always amazed and shocked at the same time where the same guy would be smoking a cigarette, and talking on a cell phone. At that point, I would shut down my unloading, and walk away, and wait for this knucklehead to move on. Just shocking!

 

I was at this station close to where the old Showboat in Las Vegas was and the drop point was right at the north end of the pumps. I would have to pull in and block the cars that were getting gas on the inside islands. There I was unloading and these two kids pulled in driving an old pick-up on the outside island. They were about 15 feet from me. A little too close but nothing I could do about it. Anyway I went about my business keeping a close eye on them and others. One kid went in and paid for their gas and the other places the pump nozzle into their gas tank, right behind the seat, waiting for his friend to return. All is ok and I've got three hoses going full blast. Then I hear this clicking sound, click, click, click and I start to look around. Then I seen it. My face lost all color as I ran for the emergency shut-down valve on the truck then the trailer. You know how those hose jump when you slam them shut, the whole station turned and watched me. I'd like to say I calmly went over to the kids but that's not how it happened. I went over with a few choice swear words and asked them if they were crazy. Loud enough so all could hear. The one kid was showing his friend a STUN GUN clicking it with one hand while the other was pumping gasoline. To this day I can not tell you how we all weren't blown sky high.

 

i had a guy walking by smoking so i did the peace sign to my mouth while shaking my head in the no,no manuver and the guy thought i wanted to bum a smoke, so he started walking at me with one hand in his shirt pocket and a smoke in his mouth. i had to enlighten him..........happy trails
