No biggie...I know that areodynamics play a small part in overall fuel mileage but there are so many other factors that enter into the equation that it's really not that important in the final analysis.

It's certainly not worth it to me to drive a dopey lookin' slope nosed areodyne truck to gain a tiny bit of fuel mileage.

I agree with the hood size having little to do with mpg. Mines a T800 and the grill width is exactly the same as a W900, with the top lowered slightly. I have the 72" standup without the birdbanger fairing, and pulling a reefer at 70 mph (500 CAT) I get 5.5 on average, always at 80,000.

I am sure a W900 with the sleeper fairing would get slightly better milage dragging a reefer, than mine, with everything else spec'd out exactly as mine. Weight and speed are bigger milage killers than hoods. I bet 90% of W900s with CATs pulling stepdeck (light) get better milage than me.
