Yeah but i tell you guys one thing, and take it for what its worth. I have played with mechanical and electronic motors. The E model is far more reliable when built compared to a B. The B's had a weaker block, on average they could only take 800hp before the block became an issue. Where the 1LW and newer 3406E, C15/16 can take insane amounts of power, do it reliably, have an intense amount of low end torque, while getting bad ### fuel economy compared to anything mechanical. You can build way more power out of an E while still retaining factory like driveability, where when i had my turned up B i really had to baby sit that motor.

Apart from heat problem that will be sorted soon I cant belive how nice it is to drive over the stock motor. The crowd I brought the parts off said I should be buying the new ECM running there programs as soon as I can at a cost of $3200us what could i hope to gain from this????
-
What I am looking for is a C model. The cranks are bigger and can handle the HP and torque.
You can have all the E's you want, the injectors cost to much on them things! That and I just don't like all that emission and computer crap on them. -
Know anyone who has a fuel pump for a B? Even if its junk as long as its still together, I just want to take it apart...LOL
-
Friend has a pump but i dont think he wants to sell it. I have a 460hp C sitting on a pallet in my barn
There is no emissions crap on 2003 and older motors, i like the mechanicals but the E is just so much nicer to drive, especially with mine i can lug it down to 1300rpm and still be at 50psi of boost and using all that 2800+lbs of torque! B model was gut less below 1500rpm.
830 tell me what kinda setting they put in the ecm, as far as FLS and FTS. Going to a 127 FLS with the size injectors you have, along with the 5232 trim codes, over stock programming i have noticed is a easy 300hp bump in power. See what your exhaust temps are once you get the manifold on, i wouldnt get a crazy ecm program before you can get the EGTs under control. Im sure with a hot ecm you will need a bigger turbo.
Im gonna dyno mine here in august or so, a friend with a similar set up to mine but a weaker ecm program did 928hp, i hope i beat that
You are right 830, its like driving a whole different motor. -
Its all top secret at that place
They would never tell me what they did.
I am behind the eight ball when it comes to ECMs what is FLS and FTS ????
A CAT man said it might clean up the smoke between gear shifts and improve fuel. -
It will smoke harder lol. The FLS is full load setting, and its what makes the power. Its the ecm telling how long to keep the injector open and how much fuel to flow to the injector. FTS is Full Torque Setting, kinda speaks for itself, but these 2 things are what CAT plays with to go from 475 to 550hp, and this is is what they play with to go from 550hp to 750hp on stock injectors.
Its top secret until you plug a laptop in the truck and look it up lol. -
CAT said they would dyno mine for free I might take them up on it when I sort it out,I thought it was really hard on the truck though.I have a 22918 trans and I notice the temp move about 35*F higher on hills where it never moved as a stock engine I would like to know what torque its putting out.
-
Don't think a C will fit?
When my timing was advanced I could lug it down to 1200rpm and it would pull good but had to watch the pyro witha stock turbo. Now with timing at stock and the big turbo i can let it drop down and not worry at all but it smokes real bad. I need to get that timing advanced again. -
Dont think it will fit in what? Yeah advance it for the power too. You can lug it down but after running a E model the B feels like its about to stall out at such low rpms compared to a E.
830 here in the states we can never get a accurate torque measurment at the wheels. They never calibrate the dyno's to read actual torque rather than the torque multiplied through the gears.... When i bought my KW i had em dyno it and it made 517hp and something like 32,880lbs of torque lol.
If i was a bettin man id bet your around 2600lb-ft of torque
