Yes some 75mm injector nozzles, a enormous turbo, and perhaps a FASS air fuel seperator is all that a C will need to get 6.5mpg and about 820-850hp to the tires.

Yeah it will work and handle the torque, dealerships are like sheep. They will follow the manufacturers word and advise against all others.

I have been putting over 2700lbs through a 1850 trans for over 60k miles, good friend of mine has been putting a bit more through a 2050 trans for 180k miles without a sign of any hiccups.

I think it was on here that i read somebody going to a KW dealer and the dealer noticed they had trim codes put in the ecm. The manager freaked and told the truck owner it will cause power to go to 700hp and blow up the engine immedietly..... Like i said totally clue less :biggrin_25526:

Yeah, that's true, but he wants better mileage. He's always had hot rods since I can remember. When I was a kid - maybe 30 - 32 years ago we used to run together sometimes and his trucks were always the fastest and pullin'est. I remember when he had a stretched out Emeryville and put a big cummins from a crane or boat or something in it. WOW, it was amazing how it would go!

I guess the technology and engines will put out lots more than they did Back In The Day. To get more power we used to take a dime, drill a little hole in it and put it in the return line, MAYBE put bigger injectors in... We never even heard of a dyno! That's why I thought 650-700hp was a big number! Good to have guys who can straighten me out and raise my expectations :yes2557:

Now all I gotta do is get a company to lease me on w/o recent experience. I had no idea this would be a problem... I thought experience was worth more than it seems to be...

And the economy and fuel prices. With all the companies going under, the tables have turned a bit. Now the companies left standing have more than enough drivers, so they are raising thier standards. My company has suspended their training program. Now only take drivers with experience. So we(drivers) get hit from again! You know raises wont be forthcoming now!:biggrin_25510:
