Hmm, they must be his own brew. Because non of the stock caterpillar injectors will say the hp on them. I think they are stockers with flowed nozzles and different plungers. Nothing wrong with that, especially the 500k mile warranty!
Just wait till you get that manifold on, you will be able to hammer on it 24/7 without it getting hot![]()

Went to pick up the manifold he wanted $450nzd about $320usd it was very second hand cracked so the search is back on.Middle of winter here so it will be about another 4 weeks before we are back hard out I want to get it done before that.
Thanks for all the part numbers makes it a lot easier as the guy that is fitting them is not a CAT agent. -
Checked the fuel settings and from what i can see they didn't mess with it. Anyway if they did would have notice a difference in my HP and I can still out pull a 550 with 10,000lbs more on.

Hey, watch buying a used 3406B manifold they will usually leak where you put them together and you will end up buying all three pieces just to stop the leak.
If you want I can get you the part numbers and prices for them. -
830 i will keep an eye out for ya on a manifold. Les is right, they can leak if they are broken apart. When buying one make sure they are as one piece.
As a matter of fact i *might* be able to get ya one one cheap from a buddy of mine!
Les2 well the boost is down from 35psi to 23psi. Then you did drop in HP not matter what you are feeling. Unless your boost guage took a crap, But 12psi of boost drop on a mechanical engine is alot of fuel taken away. My old B model would run 42-44psi of boost, that was a good 350hp jump over stock.... What is your pyro reading? -
Thanks guys,I can get a brand new B manifold off a local importer out of the States delivered to my door freight included for $900nzd about$680us that might be the way to go.Its funny you spend $22,000nzd for parts and you look sideways at $900 to make it run better.

Around 900 but its a 550 Switzer turbo.
I also tried a new gauge and it didn't change.
I also got into the pump and turned the fuel screw up another turn and it didn't make the boost go up anymore. -
Hold on before you do that let me look for my paperwork but if memory is correct the center part of that manifold alone was around $600.00
-
yep for the center piece alone was $567.51 and the end pieces is $326.13 each.
-
Thanks,Makes me think if the one I have been quoted IS new or is there a after market parts around???
