That's right... once you figure out it's going to take a bit, you go back out and move your truck. In the mean time, if I catch you messin' with my equipment, count on explaining it to Mr. 44mag.

Bet she learned real quick to start pulling up after fueling.
Snowshoes Thanks this. -
I have zero patience for ppl that don't pull forward. They don't wanna make me wait. One time I almost made a moslim driver cry.Kind of felt bad after that. Then I asked him politely if he would be so kind and park your trk.He did,he was having fuel card issues. We all know how fun that can be trying to get ahold of company to fix it.

Once I pulled up to fuel, and there was a truck in front.
I fueled, and the driver still wasn't back. So I went inside to the bathroom.
When I came out the driver was still not back.
About 5 minutes later he got back in his truck and I thought... Finally, I can get going.
Nope.
5 more minutes and I go up to the cab. He is eating a sandwich.
I asked him to move because I needed to leave.
He told me to back up to get out, he was eating.
This was an O/O, a fairly old-timer from the looks of it. -
newbies start a few of these fuel island threads per day.... but I've never seen one refer to it as "fielding" before. ..

NICE !!!! NOW THAT MY FRIEND IS REALLY GOOD ! so do the people who do that sort of thing, by that i mean making people wait just cause their stupid, are they reading this?
-
Yep stupid truck drivers do stuff like that. Park in the fuel island to take a shower, or spend an hour eating lunch. It's stupid and inconsiderate. It's more stupid to do something that qualifies as vandalism to their truck... that's a crime.

This is a pet peeve of mine as well. Delaying another trucker is messing with that trucker's clock and income.
In another thread about this topic several months ago a forum member had a bright idea when sitting behind a truck that was parked in the fuel island. He called the number on the trailer to report equipment that hasn't moved in 24 hours. Pretty soon the guy's running out to his truck, talking on the phone, and wiping mustard off his chin. -
Since the 30 minute break was implemented this situation has been increased. People taking their 30 minute break at the pumps. Lazy sob's just have no respect for other drivers.
If I am going to take my break after fueling i always go find a parking space. -
How about a Avery label stuck to the back of his truck (full sheet size 8 1/2 x 11") saying:
I'm a
Fuel Island
D-bag
and another one saying:
Obviously I didn't
do my pre-trip
