Have a DD15 that has only been sucking fuel out of drivers side tank and the passenger side has been over flowing but when u take the caps off over night they both equalize pretty quick. Even when driving down the road have the lids off slightly it will equalize down the road. have changed both vents! Not sure what else to look at!

Either not sucking from right tank, or it's not returning fuel to the left.

Has the tranny been out recently?

Follow both fuel lines from fuel tanks to back of trans. and look for where they all conn. together to the part that allows fuel to stay at a even level in both tanks, that's what you need to buy and replace.

Happened to me to , never fixed it lol . Tanks slowly equalize sometimes , my apu socks fuel from passenger tank so I just top it off now and than . I replaced one vent and cleaned the other , the other day it was definitely pulling some from passenger side idk I just keep rolling.

If fuel line is sucking air or draw tube is cracked it most likely would suck air and die or at least lose prime sitting for extended period. I would check to see if there is a splitter valve in return line also check for anything floating in tank that can get sucked up against draw tube or for obstruction in draw tube. (maybe remove line and purge tube with air) also sometimes old lines will collapse within themselves. Just some random thoughts from my experiences. Definitely might be more things I have no clue about.

Like I said I replaced both vents but these fuel caps don’t vent. Says right on the cap itself

yeah they connect to top of the trans like 2 3way fittings by looks of it forsure one 3way fitting I haven’t got a close look at them yet likely a T fitting looks like all I need to?

If one tank is draining completely? And other was is filling up? Likely be it
Definitely doesn’t die cuz the fuel light has come on.... well it probably will if he never opened up the caps slightly.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
