The fuel wire was the best thing i ever did i can't believe the diffrence i pull the hill leaving my shop a gear higher and it gets up and go's way better, went to radio shack a pack of 5 150ohm 1/2 watt a buck what a deal.

Do you splice into the fuel wire or just stick the ends of the resistor inside and tape both ends of the wire ? BTW, is it the fuel wire on top of the secondary filter or pump ? I have a 3406E early model (1994) EK series, is that a 2 or 3 three wire ? I don't have the truck here at home thats why Im asking.

I just a pack of resistors, in came in a 5 pak. My question now is they had 1/4 watt, 1/2 watt, 1 watt. Which one do I need ? I bought the 1/2 watt, 150-ohm, 5% tolerance is that the correct one and whats the difference in the wattage ?

I Just found out I have a 3 wire fuel temp, I've seen in other threads how to use
a 2 wire BUT, I can't find anywhere in here how to use the resistor on a 3 wire fuel temp.

It's on here i saw it i think it's in the Cat power harness thread.

The 1/2 ohm tells the ECM the fuel is at 165 deg. You can go as high as 194, although I'm not sure what resistor works. I had one before that set it at 188 but I dont know which resistor was used.
The higher the # the better the gains. -
Cat ecm can adjust up to 158 degrees . there are no gains showing a temp higher than this.

i put a 1/4 watt 120 ohmn on mine. will that be ok using a 1/4 watt or do i need the 1/2 watt resistor? I can definitly feel the differnce and I do have a mpg gain. C-15 55hp 6nz
