Yes it is a crime to sell it and buy it. A few years ago there was a guy selling his company fuel on the CB. Another driver, who thought himself a wannabe cop, agreed to buy the fuel from him. Then while the other driver was pumping the fuel into the guys tank he called the police and reported the transaction and told them to hurry so they could catch the guy in the act. Well the police came quickly and did arrest the company driver and for his troubles they also arrested the good samaritan for receiving stolen property. He was fired from his job and now has a felony conviction just like the guy selling the fuel. Moral of the story, mind your own business and keep moving.

I bet alot of drivers steal fuel from their own company.

Now there is a good idea. Get some motion detector lights and fire them at the tanks.
Kinda expensive, but the idea is there.

How about a cloud of pepper spray when the fuel cap is removed by an unauthorized individual?
Kujo Thanks this. -
I like the motion detector light. A friend of mine told me he knew a guy that put razor blades all the way around the caps so if you grabbed them bare handed at night or even without some really thick gloves you'd get sliced open pretty bad. But I fear that's a lawsuit waiting to happen these days. Reminded me of my cousin when we were younger had those blackout headlight covers on his pickup and they kept getting stolen so he lined it with razor blades except in 2 spots to get them off. He never did lose that set lol.
