His GPS got him lost on some dirt road in Arizona and he run out of fuel. After two days of walking he found a roadkill Armadillo. He made a fire out of tumbleweeds and proceeded to cook the Armadillo. The aroma of cooking covered the hillside and attracted a pack of wild coyotes. The wild coyotes killed and ate him along with the Armadillo on a stick. All they could find was a pair of flip flops and a deck of playing cards.
fortycalglock and Lepton1 Thank this. -
^^^ I'm betting it wasn't a full deck.

On a side note,.. truck abandonment isnt the end all some say it is.
I abandoned the truck at the last company I worked at. I had been planning to quit for months. Whether I abandoned the truck or not was entirely up to the company owner. But I made sure that when I quit, it was going to be on my terms and not his.
After I told him I was quitting, he wanted me to get another load and return the truck to his office in Tacoma Wa. I didnt have a problem with that. How ever,.. I did have a problem with him not paying me for the last 2 weeks and potentially forcing me out of the truck in the middle of no where with out at least paying me enough to get home. My only concern at the time was the legality of leaving his truck at a shipper after he was threatening to charge me with theft if I didnt return the truck.
There was a lot more said, I stayed calm while he ranted, cursing and threatening me with just about everything you could think of. The only thing I was concerned about was how responsible was I legally for the truck. What under the law was I required to do?
Long story short,.. I documented everything I could, Pictures, had a guard sign off on the condition of the truck, left the keys with the guard and left it parked in Miami Fl. I had my wife follow me to the delivery there. 2 weeks later I was hired on with the company I am working for now. I couldnt be happier.
Sometimes, when all honorable and ethical choices are exhausted,.. when negotiations break down,.. you may find that you have no choice but to do something you yourself find despicable. Career ending,...? Not for me it wasnt.
